Formal texts and community ethics documents
The foundation of ethical conduct in the community is Pancha Shila — the five basic moral precepts. Ten and fifteen precepts are used for deeper practice.
The materials below are available in print and/or electronic form. Links to the main texts are published on the community website and form part of the basic requirements for sangha members.

Walpola Rahula. ‘What the Buddha Taught’. A book by Buddhist scholar Walpola Rahula presenting the foundations of Buddhist teaching and the basic principles of Buddhist ethics.

Korean Kwan Um School practice manual. Contains rules of conduct in the temple and procedures for ceremonies. Manuals are provided to community members. A copy of the title page is included.
